Here are some "oldie but goodies" - things I've been chizelling at for the past few months or so, and just wrapped up in the past few days. And a something from yesterday.
I don't have access to a scanner, so I hope you're cool with weekly updates.
Also, 1 sketchbook page means 1 sketchbook page. 2 page spread = two days.

Wow.... your art is beautiful! There's meaning behind each page (to me, at least). <3 good luck on your 1 page a day/for a year project!
ReplyDeleteYay! New sketches! Some things that caught my eye: The snail in the first sketch, it has quite a nice soft, sluggish quality to it. The girl in the third... I feel like your faces are evolving with this and it's nice to see you break out of the usual style once in a while (also reminds me a little of your older works, where you placed greater emphasis on eyes/nose). The last sketch... the speech bubble breaking through the rabbit skull to emerge from his mouth, hehehe resilient, the broken tip of his mask, etc. It's little details that gives us little hints of you. I notice that you've started drawing plants, surprise us and give us, hmm,cars! :P Or I dunno, old people. Or men.
ReplyDeleteFor some reason I feel like this bunch of sketches of yours isn't as 'intense' as your previous ones, not that it's a bad thing, just an observation. Maybe I'm used to seeing every corner of your pages blotted in with shadings/pencil marks that these few pages feel cleaner & more controlled.
